I LOVE BIG EARRINGS! Let me say it again for y’all in the back. I LOVE BIG EARRINGS! It’s just something about them that makes me feel some type of way. I guess I’ll call it sassy lol! Anyways, when I wear big earrings, I feel good. I feel pretty. And I feel sassy. Like can’t nobody tell me nothing! I feel like they boost any outfit and my overall look. I have heard women say “Oh I like those, but I can’t wear big earrings.” In my mind, and sometimes out loud depending on how comfortable I am with them, I say “Why not?! Why can’t you wear something that you like?”. I often hear the same answer, and it’s because they don’t feel comfortable. I get it! There are some things that we aren’t quite comfortable with, and I have thought of ways to get more comfortable with wearing big earrings.
First, choose a big pair of earrings that you really like or love. Sounds simple but you won’t wear them if you don’t really like/love them.
Next, wear them! If you’re not comfortable wearing them out in public, start by wearing them around the house. After wearing them around the house for a while, take them for a spin to the… grocery store lol! You thought I was going to say to work, brunch, church, or the club. I can’t tell you how many times one of my new hairstyles (that I didn’t feel quite comfortable with) has made its debut at Walmart 😂. This will help you build your confidence in wearing them.
Lastly, after you’ve started small and made your rounds, dare to wear them out. I mean out out. Whether it’s work or date night or girls’ night, wear them out! You will be glad you stepped outside the box and added a new look to your collection!
Although what truly matters is that you like your earrings, be prepared to get compliments on them because you will! Like my dad says,”It’s about what you like. If you like wear it”. So,wear those big earrings gul!
